This License explains how you may use KitFront resources. It applies to website sections, UI blocks, templates, code examples, previews, documentation, downloads, and any other digital materials made available through KitFront.
This License is part of our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between this License and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control unless a written agreement with KitFront says otherwise.
1. License Grant
Subject to your plan and our Terms of Service, KitFront grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use KitFront resources in your own projects and client work.
This is a usage license only. Purchasing or accessing KitFront does not transfer ownership of KitFront, its source library, branding, website, templates, or intellectual property.
2. Individual License
An Individual plan is licensed to one user. The account and login credentials are for that individual user only and must not be shared with anyone else.
While the user has the appropriate access or license, they may use KitFront sections, components, starter kit resources, and other permitted resources in unlimited personal, commercial, and client projects.
3. Team License
KitFront offers Team Yearly and Team Lifetime plans. A Team plan includes a maximum of five seats in total, including the Team owner.
Each Team member must have their own KitFront account. Accounts and login credentials must not be shared between Team members or with anyone else.
The Team owner may invite and remove members through KitFront's Team functionality. A pending invitation may reserve one of the available Team seats. If a member is removed, leaves the Team, or otherwise loses the Team entitlement, the Pro access provided through that Team ends.
4. Permitted Project Use
You may use KitFront resources to create:
- personal websites
- business websites
- landing pages
- marketing pages
- startup and SaaS websites
- dashboards and app interfaces
- commercial websites and applications
- freelance client work
- agency client work
- finished websites or applications delivered to clients
5. Client Work and Handoff
You may use KitFront resources to create complete websites and projects for clients and deliver the completed website, application, or project to the client.
A client does not need a separate KitFront license merely to own or operate the completed project. However, delivering a completed project does not transfer the right to extract, redistribute, resell, or reuse KitFront resources as a standalone library or in unrelated projects.
6. Code Modification
You may edit, rename, restructure, restyle, combine, and adapt KitFront code to fit your project needs.
You may remove or replace visual styling, copy, assets, classes, and markup as needed for your finished project, unless a specific resource includes a separate notice that says otherwise.
7. Existing Projects After a Yearly Subscription Ends
If an Individual Yearly or Team Yearly subscription expires or is canceled, the user or Team member loses access to paid KitFront resources. Without another valid KitFront license, they may not use KitFront to obtain, copy, or download new premium resources.
Projects legitimately created using KitFront resources while the applicable license was active may continue to exist and be used after the subscription ends. You may continue maintaining, editing, fixing, deploying, and supporting those existing projects. You do not need to remove KitFront code from websites or client projects legitimately created while the license was active.
An expired subscription does not allow you to use previously copied KitFront resources as a reusable private library for creating new projects. Creating new projects from those resources requires another valid KitFront license.
8. Team Members After Leaving a Team
If a Team member legitimately used KitFront resources in projects while they had active Team access, those existing projects may continue to operate and may be maintained after the member's Team access ends.
After losing Team access, the former member may not use the Team entitlement to obtain new KitFront resources or reuse KitFront resources as a library for unrelated new projects unless they have another valid KitFront license.
9. Lifetime License
A Lifetime license means access for the commercial lifetime of the KitFront product or service, subject to this License and the Terms of Service.
Lifetime does not mean the purchaser's biological lifetime and does not guarantee that KitFront, every feature, or every individual resource will exist or remain available forever.
10. Free Resources
Free KitFront resources may be used under the same general project-use rules in this License without purchasing a paid plan.
Free access does not grant broader redistribution or resale rights. Free resources may not be redistributed, resold, sublicensed, or shared as standalone source resources or as a substitute for obtaining them from KitFront.
11. Redistribution and Reselling
You may build and sell complete websites, applications, and client projects using KitFront. You may not redistribute KitFront resources themselves or create products whose primary value is access to those reusable resources.
You may not:
- resell, sublicense, lease, or redistribute KitFront sections or components as standalone resources
- redistribute KitFront resources as a UI kit, component library, section library, starter library, or similar collection
- package KitFront resources for sale or distribution as downloadable source resources
- make paid KitFront resources publicly downloadable or publish them in public repositories, marketplaces, downloads, or template packs
- share KitFront resources publicly or privately as a substitute for purchasing or obtaining them from KitFront
- share paid resources with people who do not have appropriate access
- create a competing library of reusable sections or components using KitFront resources
12. Website Builders, SaaS, and AI Products
You may not incorporate KitFront resources into another website builder, page builder, template generator, AI website generator, SaaS builder, component generator, or similar product where end users can access, select, generate, extract, copy, download, or reuse the underlying KitFront sections or components.
KitFront resources may not be used to create a competing or derivative reusable section or component library. Normal websites and client projects built with KitFront remain allowed.
If you want to use KitFront resources in a product or use case that effectively redistributes the reusable resources to your own users, you must first obtain separate written permission from KitFront.
13. Prohibited Uses
In addition to the restrictions above, you may not:
- share, sell, rent, or transfer your KitFront account or login credentials
- use one account as a shared account for a team, community, marketplace, or client group
- use automation to scrape, mirror, bulk download, or mass-copy KitFront resources
- claim ownership of KitFront resources as a standalone library or original source collection
14. Third-Party Assets and Dependencies
Some KitFront resources may reference third-party frameworks, libraries, fonts, icons, images, or dependencies. Those third-party items may be governed by their own licenses or terms.
You are responsible for reviewing and complying with third-party licenses that apply to your finished project.
15. Ownership
Purchasing a KitFront plan gives you a license to use KitFront resources according to this License. It does not transfer ownership of the original KitFront library, designs, source resources, branding, documentation, website, or other intellectual property.
You own your original content and completed work, subject to KitFront retaining ownership of the underlying KitFront resources and any third-party materials used in those projects.
16. License Violations
Accounts involved in piracy, unauthorized redistribution, scraping, account sharing, fraud, abuse, or repeated license misuse may be suspended or terminated.
We may also revoke access, refuse future service, or take other action available under the Terms of Service or applicable law.
17. Terms and Refunds
This License should be read together with our Terms of Service. Purchases, refund requests, and access following an approved refund are also subject to our Refund Policy.
18. Updates to This License
We may update this License from time to time as KitFront grows, new products are added, or our business needs change. When we do, we will update the Last updated date above.
